In this program, we follow trails once trodden by shepherds, pilgrims and smugglers. We cross the mountains between imposing granite blocks – the so-called “stone giants” – which defy time and keep the memory of the mountain alive.
Along the way, we come across Roman remains, granite granaries, traditional villages and breathtaking views over the Peneda-Gerês National Park. This isn’t just a walk – it’s a journey into the essence of the mountains.
And at the end of each day, we savor the products of the land and the warmth of the local hospitality, in a well-deserved rest with a taste of tradition.
